Virtual Launch of Terry Fallis' 'Operation Angus'
Please join us for the virtual launch of Terry Fallis' new novel, 'Operation Angus' from McClelland & Stewart. Terry will be in conversation with McClelland & Stewart's Publisher, Jared Bland.

From bestselling author Terry Fallis comes the long-awaited follow-up to 'The Best Laid Plans' and 'The High Road' - a comic spy story that heralds the return of Angus McLintock. In 'Operation Angus', Accidental Member of Parliament, Angus, and his trusty Chief of Staff, Daniel Addison, learn that Chechen separatists are plotting to assassinate the Russian President, and it’s going to happen when he’s in Ottawa to meet with the Prime Minister, just weeks away. They have to put a stop to it before it's too late. Naturally, no one in Ottawa will take them, or their top-secret intelligence, seriously, so they’re on their own. This is a madcap cloak-and-dagger adventure with humour and heart that will delight readers until the very last page.

TERRY FALLIS grew up in Toronto and earned an engineering degree from McMaster University. Drawn to politics at an early age, he worked for cabinet ministers at Queen's Park and in Ottawa. His first novel, The Best Laid Plans, began as a podcast, then was self-published, won the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour, was re-published by McClelland & Stewart to great reviews, was crowned the 2011 winner of CBC's Canada Reads as "the essential Canadian novel of the decade," and became a CBC Television series. His next two novels, The High Road and Up and Down were finalists for the Leacock Medal, and in 2015, he won the prize a second time, for his fourth book, No Relation. A skilled public speaker, Terry Fallis is also co-founder of the public relations agency Thornley Fallis. He lives in Toronto with his wife and two sons, and blogs at www.terryfallis.com.
